Indigo are exploring refraction in Science and what happens to light when you see it through water and air.

To celebrate the start of the World Cup and England's first game, children can come into school on Wednesday 17th June wearing a football shirt ,England colours or other national team colours. We are asking for £1 donation. We will also be doing a penalty shootout and football activities throughout the day . All children to wear trainers please.

We will be selling raffle tickets on all Sports days. Prizes include: 1. Picnic hamper— adults 2. Sports hamper filled with sports equipment and games 3. Swing Ball 4. Various other prizes Raffle tickets will be 50p each. Also available in school this week are are the knitted footballers, we have lots of different colours to represent different teams and nations. Price £2 each

The Children’s Commissioner for England has asked for your support in helping children at school take part in a new survey, The Big Future. As many Year 6 pupils will have recently finished their SATs, this could be a great opportunity for them to reflect on their time at primary school and share their hopes and ideas for the future in their own words. The children have been using their iPads to record their partners throwing a paper aeroplane to see how far they would go. The distance was recorded for a science experiment.

We’re excited to announce that, for the very first time, we will be celebrating Culture Day on 12th June! Children are welcome to come dressed in traditional clothing or national colours that represent their heritage. This is completely optional — only if they wish to take part.
