Our ADS Journey

Our Apple journey has evolved over several years, shaping us into a confident and established 1:1 iPad school. What began in 2019 with just two classrooms quickly grew into a whole school approach. Over an 18 month period, iPads were rolled out across all KS1 and KS2 classes, resulting in 270 devices being used confidently across the curriculum.

This transformation has been driven by a clear strategic vision, supported by a dedicated team who work closely with teachers to ensure technology is used independently and creatively. Through high quality professional development delivered in partnership with Academia, staff have been empowered to embed iPads meaningfully into everyday teaching and learning.

As a result, digital learning is now a natural and purposeful part of classroom life, transforming teaching and learning and leading to improved outcomes for all pupils. We are proud of the positive impact this has had and are excited to continue our journey towards becoming an Apple Distinguished School.

OUR Vision

Our vision is to create extraordinary educational experiences that inspire and empower all learners within a unique atmosphere full of endless opportunities. Every child is known as an individual and is instilled with the belief that anything is possible.

Providing continuous access to Apple technology from Years 1 to 6 enables experiential, collaborative, and reflective learning. It offers children memorable learning experiences, allowing them to create something new as they apply their knowledge.

At Lanesfield, our vision drives our students to become the leaders of the future because we understand that they will go on to reimagine the norm and make progress where others before them have not. By inspiring our students, we ignite a passion for learning, a thirst for knowledge, opportunities for creativity, and the ability to take risks. At the same time, we nurture reflective learners who can refine, apply, and continually improve their thinking and skills.

1:1 Stories Of Impact

“Using Showbie and the AV1 device really helped me when I couldn’t be in school because I was poorly. I used Showbie to see my work and send it to my teacher from home. The AV1 helped me join my class so I could see and hear lessons and talk to my friends. It helped me feel part of school even when I wasn’t there.”

Apple Coaching

Apple coaching in education is about supporting teachers to use technology in ways that genuinely improve learning in the classroom.

Through practical, supportive coaching, staff build confidence, try out creative approaches, and use tools purposefully to engage pupils and support meaningful outcomes.
