Nursery Home Learning - Autumn 1 2026

Each half term, your child is invited to complete one creative home learning project during the half term holiday which will be linked to our Nursery topic. These activities are designed to encourage children to explore, create and talk about their learning with family members.

Our topic for Autumn 1 was “Marvellous Me” – and the home learning project to completed during the October Half Term holiday is to make an “All About Me” box! 💜

Decorate a shoebox or small box and fill it with things that make you special.

You could include:

✅ Photographs

✅ Drawings

✅ Favourite Toys

✅ Special Objects

✅ Things that represent your family

You can talk about:

💜 What makes you unique

💜 Your favourite activities

💜 People who are important to you

⭐️ As an extra challenge, share your box with the class after half term and talk about your favourite item.

Family Challenge: Take a photograph of your project and complete the sentence:

“I enjoyed learning about __________ because  __________”

Please send photographs or bring completed projects into school after half term so that we can celebrate everyone’s achievements in our Nursery Home Learning Gallery.
