Football

Our final match of the season started at 3:30pm after school against Springdale. In the first half we started positively and had a few shots on goal and with 2 minutes in Phoebe scored from a corner with the assist from Ashleigh. We gained confidence with that goal and continued to push forward and we had another shot and missed, but then Ashleigh managed to make a run and score. Springdale then upped their game and had a few shots and scored one goal. Leaving it 2-1 to Lanesfield at half time. Through the second half Springdale, came back stronger and caught Lanesfield off guard a couple of times, and quickly made it 2-3 to Springdale. Efenome put in some great saves and was alert, but Springdale managed to in quick succession score another 2 goals to take the score to 5 -2.  Written by Phoebe.
